Counselling and Therapy for Individuals

Individual psychotherapy provides a space where individuals can think about and make sense of issues and problems. It provides an opportunity to create change in unhelpful thought processes and behavior patterns. Some of these problems may be long standing, some recent.

Together we will recognise and build on your strengths and resources to create sustainable change. In some circumstances we will focus on providing a means to manage long-term issues.

Sessions are confidential and last for approximately 50 minutes.

I often suggest tasks for the individual to carry out between sessions. These are designed to create change.

My therapeutic style is underpinned by systemic and attachment theory and influenced by solution focused therapy and rational emotive therapy.
