Jo Burrows.
Therapy for families, couples and individuals.
Every relationship, whether a marriage, a partnership, whether gay or straight, can have issues and sometimes you need a little help.
My therapeutic style is designed to help couples make sense of, and negotiate changes, and difficulties in their relationships. We work together in a safe and non-judgemental environment on ways of improving and maintaining your relationship.
Many couples attend therapy to focus on improving and maintaining their relationship, but sometimes it is to help negotiate separation and divorce constructively. This is of particular importance when co-parenting of children is a factor.
Naturally it is helpful for couples to attend together, however it is possible for some individual sessions to take place if required.
Tasks of a practical and observational nature to be carried out between sessions are often useful in creating change.
My therapeutic style is underpinned by Systemic and attachment theory.

Relationship and couples therapy
A session lasts 50 min approx. The sessions are confidential (unless the therapist has concern for your, or another person’s safety). The majority of sessions will be as a couple however, individual sessions can be helpful. Tasks to carry out at home are often suggested.
Problems I work with: negotiating and managing problems in relationships. Managing relationship difficulties with partners, parents, or extended family members. Help couples negotiate separation and divorce. Help couples manage effects of mental health problems.
